1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ByteBot ("the Software"), developed and maintained by Z.E Digital Tech ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

ByteBot is an autonomous desktop AI agent that operates within a containerized Ubuntu desktop environment. The Software is available as:

  • Open Source (Free) -- Self-hosted via Docker, MIT licensed
  • Cloud (€29/month) -- Managed cloud instance with premium features
  • Enterprise (€99/month) -- Dedicated instance with full feature access

3. Open Source License

The open-source version of ByteBot is distributed under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License included in the repository.

4. Paid Services

Cloud and Enterprise tiers are subscription-based services. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable monthly or annual fees
  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Accept that subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

5. Payment Terms

Payments are accepted via:

  • PayPal (paypal.me/zelvi999)
  • Bank Transfer (IBAN: AL-C0100002334708)
  • Cryptocurrency via BNB Smart Chain (BSC/BEP-20)

All prices are in USD. Annual plans offer a 20% discount compared to monthly billing. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing your own AI provider API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or Ollama)
  • Securing your self-hosted deployment (not exposing ports publicly, using strong passwords)
  • Ensuring your use of the Software complies with applicable laws
  • Any tasks executed by the AI agent on your behalf
  • The content processed by ByteBot within your environment

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ByteBot to:

  • Engage in any illegal activity
  • Violate third-party intellectual property rights
  • Conduct unauthorized access to systems or networks
  • Distribute malware or harmful content
  • Bypass security measures on third-party systems
  • Scrape or collect data in violation of website terms of service

8. Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall Z.E Digital Tech be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Software, including but not limited to data loss, system damage, or financial losses.

9. AI Agent Disclaimer

ByteBot operates autonomously within its containerized environment. While it runs in a sandboxed Docker container separated from your host machine, the AI agent may:

  • Make mistakes in task execution
  • Produce incorrect or unexpected results
  • Interact with websites and services in unintended ways

You should always review task results and exercise caution when granting the agent access to sensitive systems or data.

10. Third-Party Services

ByteBot integrates with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). Your use of these providers is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party AI models.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

For paid services, either party may terminate the subscription at any time. Upon termination, access to Cloud/Enterprise features will end at the close of the current billing period. Your data will be available for export for 30 days after termination.
